The last quarter of 2025 saw two thriller series blow away the audience with their story, narrative, screenplay execution, and climax. Peacock’s All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning in the lead, delivered exactly what the suspense thriller genre has missed in the last few years. On the other hand, Netflix’s The Beast In Me surprised with its clear intentions and magnificent performances from the lead cast, including Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys.

Both All Her Fault and The Beast In Me were pitched as miniseries, with a count of 8 episodes. This may sound a bit cliché, but to keep a fire burning within the audience’s heart for a suspense thriller right through a set of episodes has turned out to be a tough task for creators in the past. However, despite lagging on a few occasions, and a few interest-dropping moments here and there, both these series pass the test of consistently returning audience fueled by narrative interest with flying colors.

For All Her Fault, it can be mentioned that even when the actual layer of the story has been seen in the past, but the way the makers delivered it and paced the uniqueness behind their take of it did almost all the work of making the show a massive success upon its release. When a series delivers the audience what it promises from its teasers and trailers, straight from the word go, and has enhanced bits to further catch them with surprise, then half of its work is considered done.

Coming down to The Beast In Me, well, this one really came up as a true surprise upon its official release on Netflix. Apart from scintillating performances from Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, the script, screenplay, and pace of the storytelling made it stand out among all the thriller shows released in recent times. It didn’t take long for the miniseries to climb to the top of Netflix streaming charts upon its arrival.

What The Beast In Me showed is that you need not do much in terms of making a highly engrossing thriller. If the makers stick to the honesty of the script, have a clear vision, and know how to build to the ultimate climax, while keeping the interest alive through potent acting performances, there’s no one stopping the positive word of mouth from spreading like wildfire.
