Dakota Fanning starrer horror movie Vicious, directed by Strangers fame Bryan Bertino, is heading for a straight digital release on Paramount+ on October 10 this year.
The movie will be available to buy on digital for the viewers. A full-fledged trailer for Vicious has landed on Paramount Plus’ YouTube.
The trailer opens with Dakota Fanning playing a young woman living alone in a grand house. She opens the door in the middle of the night for a strange old lady who seems lost/stranded and in need of help.
However, things soon take an ugly turn as the so-called uninvited guest starts revealing her sinister motives.
The movie follows the tagline of ‘GIVE IT SOMETHING YOU HATE, SOMETHING YOU NEED, SOMETHING YOU LOVE’. The old Lady arrives with a mysterious box that demands exactly the same from Dakota’s character.
As the trailer progresses, the plot takes interesting turns and twists, involving the protagonist in a life-saving battle and unprecedented illusions.
The protagonist tries to take help from her nearby known ones, but as it surfaces from the trailer that she might be alone in this game of survival. The Vicious trailer has nothing to shout about.
However, the simple, direct, and uncomplicated approach by the makers makes it a movie to watch out for. Starring Dakota Fanning in the lead, the film has the potential to emerge as one of the surprises of the year when it arrives on digital on October 10.
A sense of gripping screenplay that makes a horror movie a worthy watch lingers in the first trailer of Vicious.
