Liverpool transfer news: The Reds are progressing on a potential transfer deal for Bournemouth’s talented left-back.
Liverpool have been linked with Milos Kerkez in recent times. The 21-year-old Bournemouth left-back has impressed with his performances while playing for Cherries in the 2024-25 English Premier League season.
Apart from his defensive capabilities, Kerkez’s strength also lies in his attacking awareness and pace. The Hungarian international is not shy in popping up in attacking areas of the pitch and is capable of finishing as well if he gets an opportunity to do so.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool is progressing on a potential deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. Romano insists that the Merseyside club has ‘contacted’ the Cherries’ hierarchy regarding their interest in the player and ‘talks now advancing’ for a potential deal.
Fabrizio Romano has further pointed out that Kerkez is ‘keen on the move’ to Anfield and the Reds are working with the player to ensure agreement on personal terms.
Milos Kerkez is one of the first names in Bournemouth’s team sheet under Andoni Iraola this season, and has started all 36 Premier League matches so far. Apart from his defensive work, in these appearances, Kerkez has churned up 8 goal contributions (2 goals and 6 assists) as well.
Man City keeping tabs on Wolves’ Ryan Ait-Nouri
Backed by ‘Tele Football’, a report by ‘Talking Wolves’ on ‘X’ signifies that Man City ‘will be considering’ Wolves‘ Ryan Ait-Nouri as one of the potential transfer targets for the left-back position. It must be noted that Ait-Nouri has been earlier linked with a move to Liverpool as well.
However, with the Reds now showing increasing interest in Milos Kerkez for the left-back position, Man City’s pursuit of Ryan Ait-Nouri will get a boost. The 23-year-old Algerian international player has been one of the shining lights for Wolves in a difficult 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
Apart from his defensive contributions, the left-back has 11 goal involvements (4 goals and 7 assists) in 35 matches this season so far. Ait-Nouri’s current contract at Wolves runs till June 2026.
Liverpool in the driver’s seat to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz
Multiple reports have depicted that Liverpool are favourites at this stage to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz in the upcoming summer transfer window. However, reports online have also indicated Leverkusen’s Bundesliga rival Bayern Munich are also eyeing a potential summer move for Wirtz. However, as per now, a move to Liverpool remains more likely for the attacking midfielder in comparison to him going to Bayern Munich.
Earlier, it came to light that Liverpool’s league rival Man City have ‘cooled’ their interest in the 22-year-old German international. Reports linking Real Madrid with Florian Wirtz have also recently surfaced. Although any move from Real Madrid’s end for the player is likely to depend on Rodrygo’s future at the La Liga club and whether he leaves this summer.
Wirtz has 10 goals and 12 assists to his name for Bayer Leverkusen in 31 appearances in the 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign.
